Mr. Stone offers 25 years of experience in various corporate executive level positions as an accomplished and respected sales leader in the industry of managed behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, and wellness, which followed a decade of providing direct clinical care to the seriously mentally ill and to adolescents with addictive disorders. David also was a public school teacher in the middle schools of OceanHill Brownsville in Brooklyn, New York.
He most recently held the position of Chief Sales Officer at Ceras Health, a start-up SaaS healthcare technology company focused on bringing to market an engagement and adherence application for chronically ill patients leaving the Acute level of inpatient care.
David’s career has encompassed working in startups and growth companies. Prior to his role at Ceras Health, Mr. Stone held Senior and Executive Vice President roles at several companies, including a C-Suite sales management role with Merit Behavioral Care one of the nation’s most successful specialty managed behavioral health organizations, which, after an LBO, was purchased by Magellan Health from management and KKR in 1998.
His experiences include developing corporate strategy, successfully executing high growth sales plans, and penetrating Federal government customers to implement and oversee large, multimillion dollar clinical service programs for the Department of Defense which delivered worldwide counseling programs to all active duty service men and women and their families during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
Expert in EAP, work life and behavioral health services, David as continued his singular focus on bringing clinically-based programs and services to populations in need. His current passion is to have an impact on the amelioration of the opioid epidemic.
Mr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from NYU; a Master of Clinical Social work from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration from Pace University.
